Polar Bear uncertainty

In the U.S., the Fish & Wildlife Service wants to declare the Polar Bear population as threatened with extinction. Just one small problem. They're having trouble finding the definitive, clear science they need to back up that claim.

Good luck to them. By all accounts the bears are doing pretty well lately, up to 25,000 from 5,000 a few decades ago and stable or increasing in most Canadian groupings.

I think that the one's that aren't ding very well are the ones that went to the Antarctic to drink Coke with the penguins last Christmas.
