FOX News and Glenn Beck announce new agreement

Is Glenn Beck leaving Fox News? Well, sort of. This via GlennBeck.com:

NEW YORK— FOX News and Mercury Radio Arts, Glenn Beck’s production company, are proud to announce that they will work together to develop and produce a variety of television projects for air on the FOX News Channel (FNC) as well as content for other platforms including FOX News’ digital properties. Glenn intends to transition off of his daily program, the third highest rated in all of cable news, later this year.

I saw this earlier, and I think a key point is that they say Beck's company will still be "producing media" for Fox. I think one can expect to see a lot of Beck "specials", perhaps as a counter to a daily deluge of wankery that probably tires out even his most ardent viewers. I just have a hard time believing Fox would let him go when he still brings in such a huge audience regardless of his losses.
