Palin speech tonight

Sarah Palin gets her chance at the RNC tonight to strike back at the vicious attacks she and her family have endured since being named by John McCain as his VP pick. But she will do it with class:

"Here's a little news flash for all those reporters and commentators: I'm not going to Washington to seek their good opinion - I'm going to Washington to serve the people of the country."

"In politics, there are some candidates who use change to promote their careers. And then there are those like John McCain, who use their careers to promote change."

Update: Sarah Palin delivered big time at the RNC tonight. A home run. There were so many highlights, but I especially liked when she ad-libbed after seeing a sign that read "Hockey moms 4 Palin". She brought the house down with this,
"What's the difference between a pit-bull and a hockey mom?
Lipstick."
Sarah Palin is more than ready to take on "Papa Joe" Biden. The full text of her speech is here.

And just for good measure, Rudy Giulianni's speech is here. He was on fire tonight too.

I watched her speech, she did a very good job. The media hates her. I was watching it on PBS HD, CNN standard broadcast sucks. The commentators were trying desperately to find fault with the speech, it was rather comical.

I found her to be engaging, forceful, commanding, and most importantly, human. I'm waiting to see how the media covers the event in tomorrows print versions. If they start out by saying that Palin wore a simple outfit etc, I'll laugh my ass off.

I liked her comments on energy, drill, extract, burn, and develop alternative sources along the way.

What a class act.
